Dyno Testing

Shock dyno testing allows us to measure exactly how a damper is performing rather than relying on feel or assumption.

Using our in-house shock dyno, we can record damping force through the shock’s operating range and compare compression and rebound characteristics at different shaft speeds.

Dyno testing is useful for:

checking the condition and performance of a shock absorber;

comparing one damper against another;

identifying mismatched or inconsistent damping;

confirming the results of a rebuild or revalve;

developing revised damping specifications;

recording a known setup for future reference.

Where required, we can use dyno results alongside vehicle weight, spring rates, suspension geometry and customer feedback to help develop a more suitable damping setup for a particular application.

Dyno testing is available as part of our servicing and development work, or as a standalone service where appropriate.
