Lobro Race CV Cages
Approximately five times stronger than the standard items these cages are made from Aerospace spec 300m and physically wider and denser. Specifically designed for American off road racing all double heat treated before final polishing to aid strength and durability.
 
Popular sizes available: 100mm joints with 19mm balls (Ford Sierra, Ford Granada, Volkswagen Type 2, etc)
108mm joints (40mm wide) (Porsche 911 turbo, 7 series BMW, 2wd Sierra Cosworth, Subaru Impreza Turbo, Mk1 3.0 Granada, etc)

High Angle Flanges (boot holders)
Made from 4130 Chrome Moly Alloy Steel. Designed to give up to 10 degrees of extra angular movement, these replacement items for standard CV flanges have a larger hole in the middle which gives more drive shaft travel, in turn providing optimum wheel travel.

Available for 100mm and 108mm CV joints
 
 
Boots
Extra durable silicone rubber Super Boots. The additional pleats cater for our longer travel drive shafts as well as being designed to fit high angle flanges.
 
 

Driveshafts

Made from 300m Aircraft Specification Alloy Steel (which is used extensively in F1, World Rally Championship and Indy Car Racing), these units are probably the strongest commercially available today. Solid and sized and ground similarly to torsion bars they allow twist on load, which reduces ‘shock’ loadings on the drive train and gearbox. They have a 3" spline either end allowing the shaft to plunge in the CV joints, as well as coming with spirolock circlips designed to counteract failure during plunge.

To fit 28 spline 108mm lobro CV joints.

They are normally available in half inch increments from 15 to 24 inches. Shafts of different lengths are available as special order (a deposit will be required with order).

 
 

Flange Instructions
The Flanges are made in the USA and as such are imperial
 I.E. drilled for 3/8 UNF bolts.

All joints in the UK are metric 10mm.
Please run a 10mm clearance drill through the holes in the flanges prior to assembly.
Also do not use washers on the bolts – locktite them.
We use super glue and metal ties or lockwire to retain the boot on the flange.

Also please check driveshaft travel clearance prior to assembly with the flange bolted to the CV but without the boot. This allows you to observe driveshaft plunge.
If boots are superglued to flanges you will be unable to do this.
